In Truss-By-Truss mode this saw has been cutting at an average rate of 2500 bdft per hour with a piece count of about 600 pieces per hour.Using different mixes of parts and material sizes this saw has cut as much as 3000 bdft in one hour and as much as 700 pieces in an hour. In the video above the saw achieved these numbers by operating with two men. One man worked as the lumber picker by placing the wood on the feeder in cut order and the second man worked by stacking the cut material in build order on the out-feed side.The XL Linear Saw has the smallest footprint size of any TCT saw built to date. In the pictures and video you will notice a small detached white cabinet with a touch screen monitor. This cabinet houses all of the electronics for the saw right down to the motion control system, amps and computer. The saw comes with a standard PC that plugs into the motion control system via USB making computer swap outs and upgrades a breeze. The saw is designed around 5 servo motors, a saw motor and 2 sensors making this the most compact and simplistic electronic design ever produced in a full featured truss saw.The standard XL Linear Saw package includes the saw, a standard XL-16 Linear Servo Feeder (feeds 6’ - 16’ lumber), ink jet printing system, computer, touch screen monitor, a waste conveyor and a powered out-feed conveyor (not shown).
